SDKFZ 232-FU (8-RAD)
The version was equipped with a medium-range FuG 11 SE 80 radio station. It had a frame antenna, which was attached to the hull and the tower. Since March 1941 , the thickness of the frontal armor of the new vehicles was 30 mm. A total of 607 Sdkfz 231 (8-Rad) and Sdkfz 232 Fu (8-Rad) were produced from 1936 to 1943.

Heavy armored car, TN fire support. It was armed with a 75 mm 7.5 cm KwK 37 L / 24 cannon, which was mounted in the hull instead of the turret. In 1943-44, 93 machines of this type were produced + 4 upgraded basic versions of Sdkfz 231 (8-Rad).
